The Fall

The fall of Adam and Eve is a great story. It starts with God telling them they can eat from any tree in Eden but they were not to eat from the tree of knowledge. When Adam and Eve promised this they became curious. Eve went to the tree. At the tree Eve met a serpent. This serpet represents the devil. The Serpent tells Eve "Did God really say,'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?" The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say 'You must not eat fruit from the tree of knowledge, and you must not touch it or you will die.' " "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. "For God know that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." This part of the Fall is where Eve is tempted. The temptation from the serpent led Eve to believe that it would be good to eat from the tree, even though God told her not to. When the woman saw that the fruit was good and pleasing to the eye, she took some and ate of it. She also gave some to her husband , who was with her, and he ate it. As soon as the couple had eaten the fruit they noticed that they were naked. They were both assamed of this. They went and hid in the woods from God. But the Lord God called to the man, "Where are you?" he answered, "I heard you in the garden , and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid." And he said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?" The man said , "The woman you put here with me-she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it." The the Lord God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate." The Lord then punished the serpent "Cursed are you above all the livestock and all the wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel." Then he punished the women; "I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Then God Punished Adam "Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the day of you life. These curses are still shown in our life today. Child birth for woman is very painful. This story is what caused sin and knowingness of sin on the earth.

Creation

Creation:

Genesis 1:1-2

In the begining God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. -These two verses show that God is very powerful. God is a God of creation. God loves life.

Genesis 1:3-5

And God said,"Let there be light and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good , and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light "day" and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning-the first day.-God is almighty. God creates everyday for us.
God continued creating for six days altogether.

On the sixth day God created man. Many say that this is considered to be the second creation.
Genesis 1:27-28

So God created man in his own image, in the image of god he created him; male and female he created them. 28God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the saw and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

On the seventh day God rested.

Genesis 2:2-3

By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. 3And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done. -Believers in God rest on the seventh day
